UNIONDALE CHAMBER OFFICERS INSTALLATION
Uniondale, New York, January 30, 2018—The Installation Ceremony for the newly elected officers of the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce was held on January 29, 2018, at 6:30pm at the Uniondale Public Library, Theater (400 Uniondale Ave., Uniondale, N.Y. 11553). Hon. Judge Tricia Ferrell of the Nassau County District Court presided over the ceremony. Distinguished guests included Town of Hempstead Sr. Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby and Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce president Francesca Carlow.
The following is the incoming slate of new officers who were inducted:

Financial Secretary - Rajiv Jadhav, CEO, RSquare Media, Inc.
2nd Vice President - Mariano Ugalde, CEO, Charles Ross Productions LLC

According to Ms. Cargill, “We are extremely optimistic about the future of the greater Uniondale area and are all looking forward to its further development and growth. The Uniondale Chamber of Commerce will be leading various initiatives and projects in conjunction with other community partners and government officials to continue to serve the best interests of both our business and resident population.”
The outgoing officers, Michael Folkes (President, Miracle Staffing), Terenna Williams (CEO, Glory House Recovery) and Vaunetta Darthard (Board Member, Uniondale Public Library) served on the Board for the last two years bringing extensive experience to their respective positions in the restructuring of the organization.
Directly following the ceremony was the General Membership Meeting with a special presentation on the status of the development of the former Source Mall by the Chamber’s newest member Lesso Home New York. Michael Mai, Counsel for International Business, expressed their priority in preserving the history of the site and the vision for the project. He further articulated the importance of the New York market as its first U.S. venture and what it will mean specifically for the Long Island economy.
Founded in 1955, the mission of the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce has been to solidify and optimize its commercial and industrial sectors while safeguarding Uniondale’s historical significance; furthermore, to maintain and protect its land assets to continue to preserve and enrich the Long Island suburban lifestyle for its residents.
Last year, the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce celebrated the milestone of 100 members. It regularly meets the last Monday of each month at 6:30pm at the Uniondale Public Library, LL Meeting Rm. Members represent the for-profit, non-profit, academic, resident and government community who support and promote the greater Uniondale area.
