In an article titled, "Buying in Uniondale: Affordable family homes in Nassau County", Newsday reports what we already know... Uniondale is one of the county's best kept secrets. But as one former resident quoted on our Facebook page, " I grew up in Uniondale and am pleased to hear money is being spent on Front Street and Uniondale Avenue. No monies have been spent on these streets in decades and that is irresponsible and criminal." A meeting rescheduled by Hempstead Town Supervisor Santino and Nassau County Legislator Abrahams to discuss the exact plans for the project has yet to be solidified.
