EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT

Nassau Coliseum will begin hiring for 1,300 Uniondale jobs in January, 100 of which will be for full-time employment and all will become unionized. To ensure that Uniondale resident job seekers are well-positioned to land those jobs, a Free Workforce Readiness Workshop is being held on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9-12 at Van Ness Fire House, 154 Uniondale Ave.

The event will feature professional career coaches from Hofstra University to help attendees refine their interviewing skills, elevator pitches, and resumes. Guided by discussions with Forest City Ratner Co. about their requirements for hiring, participants will get first-hand knowledge of what Nassau Coliseum management and partners are looking for in the best candidates.

The free event is sponsored by the Greater Uniondale Area Action Coalition, the Uniondale Fire Department, Hofstra’s Center for Civic Engagement, and the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce. No RSVP is required.
