MWBE Certification Workshop

The SUNY Farmingdale Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administration held a "Doing Business with the Government" workshop for members of the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce at the library addressing all you need to know about becoming a certified Minority or Woman-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). Topics included the benefits of the certification, the differences between it and other programs, the application process, and fulfilling the requirements of Nassau County and New York State Requests for Proposals (RPP). The SBDC provides free, one-on-one business advising or technical assistance to anyone who wants to start a business or who already owns a business. Services range from answering startup and business structure questions to assisting with business plans, cash flow projections, marketing plans, and loan information.
